BTC or IAP

After having a year off due to family commitments, I entered myself into the Business tax dec exam. However I did not put enough study time in and basically ran out of time so I did not attend the exam.

I now am having trouble decided whether I should pick the books back up and take the June exam for Business Tax, which does make sense really seeing as I've already read half the book and I've already passed Personal Tax. Or should I forget Business Tax and do auditing where there is no exam (therefore no strict deadline)as my tutor orginially advise me. Obliviously this means taking on a whole new subject of which I have no knowledge.

I really had trouble memorising business tax and I am worried that I'll still be in the same position I'm now if I was to fail the exam (not that I have failed any before). This is my last exam and after 4 years of study I just want it to be over as soon as possible!

I would really like to hear which subject you think I should take. I'm sooo indecisive!!!

    Hi Greenfly.

It depends which way you want your career to go. Do you want to go into auditing, or into practise?

On a practical note - the next sitting for BTC will be June, that gives you time to put in some revision.

There is an exam for the auditing module, although you can sit it in your own time.

    Scott.
