Private Use on Mobile Phones

I have been asked by a financial adviser whether the following is true:
HMRC will only 75% of the expense of a mobile phone on a business tariff and 25% of the expense of a mobile phone on a private tariff, on all future Tax Returns.
Has anyone else heard anything like this or is it just another myth?

I haven't heard of it - yet - was it a "bloke down the pub" who told them?

Apparently an accountant somewhere told a book-keeper somewhere else, who told a financial adviser somewhere else.0 -

But were they using a mobile phone?
There must be different actions for using a company phone for personal use and vice versa.0
