Can someone tell me if it is possible and how to save formulas within a spreadsheet.
I've designed the spreadsheet for a client but don't want him to accidentally delete the formulas within it.
Thanks
Michelle

Re:Help with Excel
You can lock the cells and protect the sheet.
Right click on the cell containing the formula, select 'format cells' and go to the 'protection' tab. Tick the 'locked' box.
Repeat for all cells you want to lock.
Now select the 'tools' drop down menu and go to 'protection', then 'protect sheet'. Ensure 'protect worksheet and contents of locked cells' is selected. Enter a password.
Now the cells will not be able to be deleted or amended - you can still change them by selecting 'unprotect sheet' and entering your password.
Hope that helps.

Thanks for that phunky
I knew there was a way to do it but couldn't remember how.
Been a while since I designed anything in excel.

No worries!
I know how you feel though - very annoying when people go messing about with your formulas etc! One formula changed can ruin a whole spreadsheet!
