my brain had become stuck - can anyone tell me why sales/purchase ledger control accounts will not balance to the individual sales/purchase ledger balances - i can seem to get my head around it.

    Have you checked:

    Payments
    Receipts
    Returns
    Discounts
    Bad Debt

    sort of looked at that but what reason would there be?
