INTANGIBLE FIXED ASSETS????

Help<BR><BR>What are intangible fixed assets? <BR><BR>I know they are goodwill, but what would I be looking for in a TB?<BR><BR>Just not getting it !!<BR><BR>

    INTANGIBLE FIXED ASSETS????

    Tangible fixed assets are capital items that are physical such as cars, plant and machinery, buildings etc<BR><BR>Intangible fixed assets are capital items that have no physical form, but are of value to the company. These can be as you said goodwill, patents, licenses, franchises, trademarks, copyrights etc<BR><BR>Hope this helps, dont really think there is way you would look at a TB and know that something is an intangible asset without knowing what they are.

    Thanks that does help. <BR><BR>I just had a question with Capitalised development expenditure and can now see why it was an Intangible Fixed Asset.<BR><BR>Cheers onto the next question!<BR>
