SA online authorisation requests

Has anyone had a positive outcome with these?

I have tried various times to register myself as my own client :roll: and it always fails.

Is this because I cannot be a client of myself?!!!!

PS - can I complete a 64-8 for myself? I just want to be able to check my own stuff online.... and I can't :cry:

    Can you not just register as yourself rather than as an Agent?

    I'm not an Agent for Self Assessment but I have registered for myself so I could file my own Tax Return online.

    I don't know if all the same information is available, as I don't know what is available to you as an agent.

    I am registered as an Agent for Payroll. I just have two different user ID's for the gateway.

    I registered myself for self-assessment with no problem.
    However, I have had great difficulty in trying to register for VAT online for my husband's business - it thinks someone else has already registered!

    I have registered as my own Agent no probs.

    However i keep losing some of my other clients occasionally.
    For some reason they keep disappearing off my client list and i have to put them back on.

    I too am down as a client on my client list - I sent in a manual 64-8. It did seem the daftest thing authorising myself to act for me!
