Just wondering if youd be able to help with a few questions i have , ive tried searchin but so far have not come up with an answer

Why do we not maintain control accounts for bank and petty cash?

    Hi Foxy

    Batch control is where you put all types of documents on a system in groups, for example if you were a one man operation, you would do all of the purchase invoices together, then all of the sales invoices together, then all of the credit notes together, etc. etc. and this reduces errors in posting as you do not have to keep switching between each area of the system. This is the advantage they are looking for.
