AAT exemptions from ACCA

Does anyone know whether the whole of an ACCA module needs to have been studied to be exempt? I’ve been advised by ACCA that the AAT qualification exempts from ACCA papers F1, F2 & F3. However F6 is taxation which apart from VAT is fully covered by BTC and PTC (I’m doing both in June).

If not, I suppose I could just do F6 in December as Tax will still be fresh in my mind. Just don’t want to have to do an exam if I don’t have to.

Any help would be appreciated.

I can promise you that unless the syllabus changes radically PTC and BTC are not just rehashed for the ACCA tax paper - there is far more detail and items in the ACCA paper than is covered in either AAT tax options.

However having said that you will find that paper easier because of all the groundwork covered in AAT.

Syllabus sounded exactly the same - sounds like you know more than me. I'll just do the exam in December - assuming I pass PTC & BTC in June

    Thanks
