New CPD - training ACA

Hello

As I understand it, if you're doing Chartered / ACCA / CIMA / whatever, you don't need to worry about AAT CPD for the new scheme as your head is already overflowing with knowledge (in theory)

However, I have read all the literature, and maybe I'm being a bit thick, but I can't seem to find out if I have to tell the AAT that I'm training. Are men in black coats going to come and knock on the door and throw me out of the AAT for not recording any CPD?!

Thanks :)

My understanding is that the sutdying carried out for CIMA etc counts as CPD and should therefore be recorded as 'normal' CPD.

    Any thoughts from anyone else?

    Hi

ALL AAT Full and Fellow members must complete the mandatory CPD requirements. If you are studying/training towards another qualification, this will cover your CPD requirements. If you are a member of another body, the CPD you undertake as part of that membership can also be used as your AAT CPD. Either way you will need to complete the anual return to the AAT when the new requirements come into place.
