Does anyone know why, when new paper money is issued, the image of the Queen isn't updated more regularly?

Her image on the new £20 doesn't even resemble Helen Mirren.

    Now, we can't exactly have the Queen looking like The Picture of Dorian Gray when we want to buy a Big Mac can we?

    Probably because there's enough wrinkles in the actual paper, I suppose they don't want to add more to it by updating the queen's mug-shot

    What's a £20 note??? :( I still have two daughters living at home and the last time I saw paper money the fivers were large and white! Have they been changed??? :cry::cry:
