FIFO - Valuation of samples

Hi
I was wondering if someone can help me with a query i have on valuation of samples. I have some materials which are issued to Stores but for samples purposes.
My question is: Are the materials valued at nil value because they are samples not to be sold or would they have the cost of the FIFO but charged to a dept cost (ex: Marketing.

check with your boss for company policy
If she/he doesn't know, recommend a nil value to the store with any costs charged to marketing in the sameway as advertising.0 -
