Accounts from Companies House

I have just downloaded the accounts of a company I wanted to do a check on.
I was a little surprised by what I found.
The accounts were the first ones for a newly incorporated company and covered a period of 15 months, but the BS stated "Balance Sheet for the year ending 31st March 2006" - as opposed to as at.
The figures on the BS were shown to the nearest penny and there was a provision for a Wages Liability of 3p.
The dividends paid were listed by the shareholder's initials - and one was incorrect.
In all, the accounts weren't presented how I would have expected - and I was a little surprised they were submitted like this.

Re:Accounts from Companies House
We gained a client as he had been submitting his own accounts in a unacceptable format . However he had been submitting them like this for years and it was only rejected when either a bank or supplier complained to Companies House. I guess they don't actually check them, they just file them.

You would have thought with all the trouble we go to, to ensure the accounts sent to Companies House are correct that someone would at least give them the once over to make sure they are in an acceptable format and at least balance :roll:0
