Hi!

Does anyone know what is the criteria for determining whether the P14, P35 and P11D need to be completed (two required for each).

I think two criterias for P11D are:
1.must be a director
2.employee must be paid at a rate of £8500 or more a year and must have received benefits or was paid expenses.

Please help!

    From memory:
You do a P14 for every employee who was paid under PAYE system during the year including anyone who has left, however you only complete a P60 for those employees who were still employed on the 5th April.

The P35 is the employers summary of the P14's and is submitted with the P14's.

P11D's are completed for directors and employees who have earned more than £8500 in the year who have benefits in kind or expenses eg medical insurance, company cars etc. If there are no expenses you can apply for a dispensation for individual employees or for the whole company. If the revenue grant a dispensation, this then does away the need for completing and submitting a P11d.

I don't know if anyone can add anything I may have forgotten.
