Hi,
I have been asked by a relative if an LLP needs to have a Seccretary? I haven't really had anything to do with LLP's so couldn't answer it, is it one of the areas where they are the same as Ltd co's (ie.needing a secretary) or Partnerships (not needing one!).

Any advice greatly appreciated,
Thanks

    Re:LLP Secretary

As far as I am aware an LLP does not need a secretary.

I have only ever dealt with one, and they didnt.

Where's Peugeot? I'm sure he mentioned it in his article.

An LLP does not need a secretary though it does have to have two designated members. Both partners can be designated members.

Please don't get confused with LLPs and Ltd Cos - they have similarities but are fundamentally different!

    Kind regards

LLP's don't need a Secretary, they need two 'designated members'.

Have a read of Steve's (Peugeot) article in this months AAT magazine, it gives a lot of detail that is easily understandable - should answer all your questions.
