Unit 10- Does anyone have a good topic suggestion if you work in practice?

I work in an accountancy practice, and am struggling to find an area to focus my project on that can cover all of the areas. I have contacted my tutor via email and telephone (for some strange reason she is not based at my usual local college, but 100 miles away so a meeting is not possible!) however, she has been very unhelpful. All she keeps saying on the phone is that my ideas are good, however, once I have put my proposal together and emailed it to her, she rips it apart and says that I need to find a new idea. She also says that using the AAT Case Study is a bad idea, as the invidulators know exactly what they are looking for, and often it is hard to satisfy them so she strongly suggests not to use it. Does anyone have any ideas for someone working in practice that they would be willing to share? Or any one who can share their experiences of using the Case Study? I would be very grateful as I NEED to have it completed before June, as all I have left to do are the project (Unit 10) and DFS (Unit 11). Many Thanks (in advance!)

Hi Ellouise
I work in practice and have also found it very difficult to come up with a topic for the project. In the end i have decided to do it on the accounts system we use called IRIS. I'm going with the idea of recommending the system to small companies who either use an accounts system not compatible with ours or have manual accounts. If they were to use the new system it would save us time and money converting the data and enable us to move on to the next set of accounts therefore have more clients.....
If you want to work together on the project it might motivate us to complete it... i know it would help me to have someone in practice who i could bounce ideas off....?? people i work with aren't very helpful.
My email address is staceydolan77@fsmail.net if you are interested. (or anyone else for that matter)
