In Dec I passed my last Technician Exam and have applied for membership but when it came to a pay rise I it didn't count for anything.
I do all Sales Purchase Credit Control and now payroll for 3 Companies and my pay rise was 3%. I gave my manager a the salary page from Hays and all he said was that there was nothing to say where they got the figure from and had I factored in the fact that I have a pension and other benefits in kind and that the company was paying for my Payroll Course. But promised to look at my salary again in 3 months time if I have run the payroll fault free for that time. The average salary for my job with AAT Qaulification is £18000 and I am getting a lot less than that.
Is anybody else having this sort of problem. As I do the payroll I can see that most people have only had 3% and some have had 0%.
If in 3 months time I don't get the pay rise I feel I should have ,I think I'll wait until I finish the payroll course hopefully in Dec, and by then I will also have 9mthts experiance of running the payroll on my own I will start looking elswhere
Thats my rant over

Re:Pay Rise
Hi Jackie.
We got 2.9%
Maybe you should start looking around for a new job, if you feel you are not being paid your worth. Employers will usually pay you as little as they can get away with.
