Unit 3 test

I have just done unit 3 test and not sure what happened but I know I have failed (didn't balance) if any one has done it could you talk me through the journal part of it I'm really having a problem with that part as we have not been taught this part it was just left to us to work out.

Hi Laura Jane,
When your TB didn't balance, did you open a suspense account? Possibly you were then given more information and then did you write journals to clear down the balance in the suspense account?
If you re-read your text book about journals you can get on top of this in case you need to do a referral. Remember that they are like a day book, and are a vehicle to transfer or enter data onto the main ledger. The Debit side should equal the Credit side and you should always write a narrative explaining exactly what the journal is doing, for example:
"To correct error of transposition from SDB dated 31st January 200X, £194 entered, should be £149, therefore correction value £45".
Work through as many practise questions as you can, and then do them again and again. I am sure you will be fine, but don't stress out over an exam.
