    One of the reasons I would never rely on the HMRC website rather than using 3rd party software!

    For anyone who gets stuck on the client list being populated screen and wishing to access their new notices from HMRC, you can get to your notices by clicking on the 'Filing only service' on the left and following the links from there.

    As for CIS users.. good luck to you! I'm glad I ditched all those clients a long time ago!!

    Unfortunately for some MIP's/company departments they make up a large proportion of the client base so the luxury of firing them off isn't a viable option! I know our payroll lady who is dealing with CIS at the moment is having a lot of problems with HMRC website.

    Added to that is the incompetency of HMRC so it is somewhat a vicious circle making life even harder! :roll:

    Had a lovely one today, contractor didn't receive a monthly return so I rang the CIS helpline to find out if there is a downloadable blank one (a cursory search couldn't find one). Wanted to do the return online but the authorisation hasn't come through yet - surprise surprise!

    CIS helpline comment - there is one but they don't know where it is so I would need to ring the online service helpdesk so they can direct me to it!

    After searching for about 10 minutes - I found it myself - not in any of the obvious places and on page 2 of the search ' CIS300 monthly return'!
