Incorrect CIS Coding Reference! (TC)
Long story, but basically it appears that a client is registered under the wrong CIS coding reference code (two letters?). CIS online helpline unable to 'help' - ring tax office - tax office no idea what I am talking about -ring another number - again no idea - ring another number - no idea - ring CIS Contractor helpline - no idea - ring the CIS online helpline again. "Oh yes, the code could be wrong, but it is an internal code and we can't tell you what it is"! So where now! Who knows - they are going to look into it and get back to me!!!!!!!
