Hello fellow students,
Just a few lines to introduce myself in the run up to exams. My name is Kevin and I'm studying AAT Intermediate Level at IOW College. I am a bit of a late starter at 43 but am thoroughly enjoying the course. I had to start at the very beginning with a GCSE Accounting course (Home Study) - the first GCSE since 1980! I will be taking ECR on June 18th so I'm doing lots of preparation - AAT past papers, practise exams (BPP book-based) and lots of reading. My only tip is to try as many questions as you can - and be prepared to get them WRONG. But it's obviously important to learn by your mistakes. I must have done 20 questions just on apportionment ! Repetition is the way children learn and we are no different.
So just to finish off what turned into a little more than a few lines - The very best of luck to everyone.
Kevin.

Hello Kevin, my name is Frodo, I don't post very often, but noticed you were from IOW, I'm not living there now, but thats where I grew up! and I went to the IOW college after I finished school (nothing exciting just office admin...) worked for a few years before an opportunity came to study for the AAT and am studying for intermediate at the moment. I am fast tracking and doing both the FRA and ECR exams, if I'd have known how tough it is I maybe would have just done it over a year and I also have to say that I much prefer FRA to ECR!
Good luck to you to!
