Can anyone put my mind at ease?

In the BTC exam I allowed the directors salary as they are just normal members of staff - after all they are not the owners so it is not like drawings

Lots of people in my class added in back as being disallowed

Can anyone explain?

I left it in. My understanding is that Directors fees are treated the same way as other staff salaries.

    Parking fines etc are different.

    Hope we're right :?:

I left director's salary out of the adjusted profit computation too. It is allowable.:lol:

At least we were right at some things if not all.. Cheer up!!

Thanks everyone - you have put my mind at ease! I thought it was allowable but you start to question your own knowledge sometimes

I said not allowable as I classed it the same as a fine for law breaking where only employee parking fines are allowable.

If it helps, the Directors' Remuneration would be allowable but the Legal Fees would be added back.
