Advice on bookkeeping.

I am interested in doing bookkeeping from home, but having worked in banking previously, I have not done a role where bookeeping has been performed. Will I have enough knowledge after the Foundation stage to do this or should I wait till I have passed all the Intermediate and Diploma stages? :? I don't want to start something and then not be able to meet customers needs.
Your advice would be appreciated.
Also, for my 1 years experience to be a member, I am thinking of doing volounteer work due to restriction on schoolhours and holidays, would this be better in an accountancy office?

you would benafit from the intermediate level as bookkeeping is the analysis of cash & bank income and expenditure, which forms part of a full set of accounts ( covered in more depth in intermediate )0
