Please help - Excel question

Hi,

Certain bank giro credit slips have been deposited in the bank at specific dates as shown below. We have a link to download the banking info which is downloaded to excel sheet as shown below(sheet1).

Sheet 1
BGC No. Date

20028 01/07/07
20056 13/07/07
20033 09/07/07
20013 08/07/07
20047 10/07/07
20031 09/07/07
20009 01/07/07

etc


i get information on spreadsheet from some other person with some of the above BGC's as shown below (Sheet 2) but to save time is there a formula i could use to copy the above dates from sheet 1 on adjacent cells next to each cells below on sheet 2.

I tried the Sumif function but only works for values not for dates.

    Hi Guys,

    This query has been resolved seems the correct function was sumif after all. I think the worksheet was corrupt so i did a fresh worksheet and the dates have been copied correctly now.
