Changing from NVQ to Dipolma Route

Hi just wanted to some advice I'm currently on AAT intermediate(NVQ) however I'm thinking of asking my training provider if I can change to Dipolma, as I'm due to be made redundant pretty soon and I'm not sure whats going to be happening in the future. Does anyone know if it is possible to swith from NVQ to Dipolma ? Your thoughts would be appreciated

    Yes, as far as I am aware it is very simple to change from NVQ to diploma - all you have to do is inform the AAT.

    But, you really should discuss this with your tuition provider as some/most are only offering one route and not the other. The reason being is that the exam structure is a bit different - the content the same but slightly different exams etc. Plus there is no reason why you cannot carry on under the NVQ route once you have been made redundant.

    I agree with 'sjbherself' specifically to the point of continuing your studies even though redundancy looms.

    I wish I had had the courage to pursue something more rewarding each time I had been made redundant (3 times already).

    Which is why I'm currently struggling, even to find an entry level post, because most agencies want at least 6 months experience before they consider you suitable even for a "matching and batching role".

    Keep on going and don't give up, I'm not.

    Hi Thanks for your advice, I do not indeed to give up on my studies (far from it) I just dont know where I'm going to be with my job in the next few months, and thought Diploma may be the better option.
    In the situation of redundancy I'm find studying AAT is holding me in good stead from a new job ! fingers crossed for me , again thanks both for your input
