For those of you in practice preparing accounts for OMBs or SMEs you may find my latest article about the implementation of international standards of relevance. It can be found at:

During the editing process it appears they have amended a word. Under the heading "When will IFRS become Mandatory" the first line says "....but it is unlikely that IFRS will commence for accounting periods commencing on or after 1 January 2009" - it should be that it "is likely that IFRS will become mandatory".
I have notified the editor and she will amend it in due course.
