Due to where I work making a mess of the payment to FTC I won't be starting Technician until the start of September.
I study by distance learning.
Do you think it's feasible to be ready for the exams in DFS and PCR in this time?
I did manage to do all of the Intermediate stage between Jan-June which I think is pretty quick?!
Thanks for your help

I did DFS and Cash management from September to December last year, (although this was day release at college), and it was hard, but fine. Most people at college passed both.

I would query the PCR element though. PCR and PEV go hand in hand, and i would suggest studying them together. If you wanted to leave tax until the new year, i suggest maybe you crack on with unit 10 and complete that before xmas.

Where did you study Gillianne? Do I know you?!!!

I think if you could do both FRA and ECR in six months (and have managed to successfully pass both once you receive your results), you should do as Gillianne suggested.

DFS is a natural progression from FRA but you'll need to devote enough time to learning all the new standards without the hassle of other difficult exams surrounding you.

I believe Cash Management and Credit Control is a crucially underestimated subject - especially if you're in a manufacturing or supply industry such as the one I work in. Most people seem to unfairly trash this subject but it's not just coincidence that many companies go bust because of poor credit control and/or cashflow forecasting techniques. Unfortunately I know this all too well, having inherited the main accounting role of a manufacturing company locked in a seemingly never-ending cashflow crisis!

PCR and PEV was the orginal plan.
Than i booked a weekend in Budapest in December.
Then I checked the exam timetable! Doh!
I'm thinking if I do PCR just before the December exams and then PEV after the new year ready for the June exams I'm still kind of doing them together.

    I think this is achievable

I have a class for each set of exams that have 4 Saturday sessions to cover PCR. (I have another that does the same for PEV). My classes are two weeks apart to allow time to consolidate what we've done and to start work on the next topic.
So I would think you should have a tremendous chance if you are looking at 2 exams and have the whole of Sept Oct and Nov to prepare
