Hi there, I am just doing my short test 1 on the diploma pathway Unit 30. On the second question it shows a list of cheques recd then shows the discount, am i to assume that the first figure is the total of the cheque received `after` the debtor has already deducted his discount?
Also the grid that they have given is different to the one I have practiced on, why is there a total at the beginning and what does SLC stand for? Its my first test and its thrown me off track already. Please help. Thanks. :? :? :? :?

SLC is Sales Ledger Control.
Am i right in thinking you are doing the Premier Training tests? I did these at the start of the year.
The total column is there instead of the cash/bank columns that the tutorial books use. So, for example, if you had a cash sale of £100 you would record £100 in the sales column, £17.50 in the VAT column, and the total would be £117.50.
