Which Tax ?

Hi,

I spread Diploma over two years and am back at college, starting this week to do my last two units, unit 10 and a tax. I can't decide which tax to do.........does anybody have any advice please ? Which one would be more beneficial ?

    It really depends on what you do at work, and are planning in the future, to say which is more beneficial.

    If you work in a department and prepare CT comps, then business tax is more useful. If you work in a department where you work for personal clients then personal tax is beneficial.

    However, if none of these implications really matter and you are just choosing one of these to pass AAT, personal tax is deemed to be the easier option as there is less to learn that for business tax.

    I agree, if you are only doing it to pass the AAT, go for personal taxation, I found it simpler than Business taxation and it kind of gives you an idea about your personal situation and how any benefit your employer might offer you affect your tax calculations.
