Import Triangulation

Sorry to start yet another thread - it's been quite a fortnight !
I am reasonably comfortable with triangulation when moving goods in the EU between three parties but now have a situation where a client wants to purchase goods in non EU country and have them sent to a customer in the EU.
Can anyone point me in the right direction - I have checked HMRC website and some very helpfull guides on Business Link but everything revolves around importing the goods to UK and then exporting on but I am looking at a direct transfer to hopefully cut costs save some time.
I assume this to be common practise but can't seem to get on the trail of some guidance !
