Kerala has been emerged as a Paradise for honeymooners, because of its beautiful Beaches, Lakes, Backwaters, Hill stations, houseboats etc. Kerala Tourism offers you a world of choices for your romantic honeymoon holidays, romantic vacation or Kerala wedding.

The small state of Kerala, which represents just 1% of the land mass, is considered to be one of India's most beautiful states. It is a very rural state with most of the population living in villages but is culturally and scenically diverse. Kerala has two national parks, ten wildlife sanctuaries and two bird sanctuaries.

Kerala occupies a long (550km), narrow strip of land in the far south of India. Its coastline is on the Arabian Sea (part of the Indian Ocean) and its eastern border with the neighboring state of Tamil Nadu is the top of the majestic Western Ghat Mountains. The landscape varies from long golden beaches to cool hill stations and dense green jungle to bustling cities. Its unique feature is the 1,900km of palm fringed backwaters.

The people of Kerala are warm and friendly and interaction with them is often a highlight of a holiday to Kerala. Keralites have a strong culture and are fiercely proud of their state. Some of their art forms (eg. Kathakali and Theyyam) and martial arts (kalaripayattu) are unique.

If the tourist is planning for a honeymoon trip to Kerala it purely depends on what is the liking of the couple. As Kerala although small in its size has so much to offer to anyone and everyone. Kerala has beautiful beaches, hill stations, backwaters, tree houses, ayurvedic resorts, adventurous places and much more.

If the couple just wants to enjoy the togetherness then the backwaters and tree houses are the most suitable. If they intend to spend by the seaside then the beaches and if the prefer amidst the nature then the beautiful hill stations where they can go cycling around the tea plantations. Or if they simply want to kick start their life afresh then ayurvedic resorts are the best place to rejuvenate themselves.

So Kerala Tourism offers the best of everything and in varied packages based on their preferences and their budgets.

    Well, I have a liking for using extreme violence when things don't go quite as planned so what can you suggest in Kerala and does anyone want to accompany me?

    Maybe we should send the forum to one of those ayurvedic resorts and have it get a good kickstart.
