I need some advice re: becoming a MIP
Ive only just started looking into this, so please bear with me. I want to stay employed full time and start off doing bookkeeping up to TB in spare time, with a view to this becoming my full time job. From what I understand I could go exempt to start off with (income under £1k)and just get PI ins.
I would like to become a MIP if this takes off but I have no CPD evidence at all (qualified in 2004) so I need to start from scratch.
Where did everyone else start - and how do you fill in forms with regards to answering details about your clients when you have none?

Hi
I started from scratch too. I found the MIP team at the AAT really helpful and so I suggest that you contact them in the first instance for help.

Remember that CPD activities are not just courses. It involves reading magazines, researching online, work-based activities, discussion with colleagues, learning from these forums..
I am sure you will be able to obtain a license for book-keeping and you can then extend these services at a later date if and when you wish to do so.
Definitely contact the MIP support team, they are very helpful.0
