Sounds to me like the inevitable has done you a favour. It appears you were not totally respected from your directors' and for you to be able to put up with the stress associated with that situation would have made many walk a long time ago!

You'll look back on this in a few months and think "god, why didn't I leave sooner". I'm sure you will have a silver lining! The very best to you!
