I have been working as an accounts assistant for 9 years and am currently studying towards the AAT Diploma level. Can I set up my own bookkeeping business, or do I need further qualitificats?

Hi
Accept for statutory audit, financial services and insolvency practice, accountancy is unregluated and requires no qualicifcation! However, as an AAT student you would need to abide by the AAT regulations and register with HMRC under the money laundering regulations (AAT only priovides supervision under the money laundering regulations to full and fellow members).
