Hi,

I am taking BTC in June and i am abit confused.

When giving capital allowances against an expensive car, is it £3000 per car or £3000 for the total of all the expensive cars.

My tutor has told me one thing & my text book says the other???

Any help would be much appreciated

    The writing down allowance is restricted to £3000 for each expensive car. So if your car had a written down value of £20,000 at the start of the period and your written down allowance for the year was 25% of this (£5,000), it would actually be restricted to only £3,000.
