You can claim a certain amount. Its best to look on the revenues sites for the guidlines.0

My husband works from home and providing the office he uses is 'solely for the purpose of his business' then he can claim a proportion of the heating and lighting. Take the bills and divide by the number of rooms in the house not including halls and bathrooms.
