NVQ or DIPLOMA

Hi,

I have just completed the Foundation Level2 AAT NVQ in accounting and Payroll NVQ and I am awaiting the results for next week.

I have seen a few discussions on the forums on whether to take the NVQ rout or Diploma route.

Can I swap over to the Diploma route after doing the foundation on the NVQ?

There was alot of fuss with the portfolio on the NVQ where as I've heard the Diploma route doesn't require a portfolio?

Also I am looking to continue on from the AAT technician level to ACA eventually, taking advantage of the exemptions on the first year of ACA (fast-track).

Would changing to diploma effect this at all?

Your help would be greatly appreciated.
