Exam Result Appeals

I have read a number of dissatisfied threads where students who failed (particular PEV) are appealing. You may want to read the following link:

Particularly towards the end (second to last paragraph starting "Results are issued in August and this triggers off the appeals", the Head of Exams has pointed out that the exam scripts are "reviewed for marking errors" - they are not actually remarked because the Chief Examiner claims marking errors are "extremely rare indeed". I think some students who are appealing are under the impression their scripts may receive a remark.

It appears you only receive a "review" not a "remark" and also feedback on where you went wrong. You might want to consider this before spending the money for an appeal.
