Using HMRC Software

Has anyone else started on 2008 SA Returns using the HMRC's online software?

Last year this seemed much easier and quicker. This year it takes longer as there are more boxes that must be completed, as opposed to last year only completing if relevant to the client's circumstances.

Also there seems to be a longer wait when moving from one page to the next.

I only did one or two until our PTP software came in and we can file online.

I hate the new tax returns, at least when the boxes were numbered you could jump from one screen to the next with confidence - I found it so much longer this year so am glad we are submitting through PTP now.

Yes, I have used them. Once you have the hang of them, they aren't too bad, but they do have quite a few errors from time to time!
