You have to do the Cert Ed qualification, 2 years course, you can try a course called PTTLS this is a 14 week taster course into teaching.
The salary depends on where you work, most people sign up to an Agency called Protocol National, they are the agency that supply tutors to the colleges, they pay you and deduct all Tax and NI out of the pay, this can range from approx £20-£25.00 per hour, they are on the websit, and the salary also depends on what level you are teaching.
You also have to have atleast 3 hours per week teacher training experience, whilst doing the qualification.
Hope that helps.0 -
I get £16.53 per hour for teaching OCR Bookkeeping and I have to take a teaching qualification, PTLLS(preparing to teach in the life long sector) certificate and diploma.0
