I know VAT a long time ago was 8 % and then changed to 12.5% but when were these changes

I remember 8% and then 15%.

I know it changed from 15% to 17.5% in 1991 but I don't remember VAT at 8% - what an old bird you are baggy lol

and I remember when they first introduced VAT, I was stationed at RAF Shawbury at the time!(God I now feel old!!!!!)

Iran and Jersey seem to be joint winners of the lowest rate of VAT at 3%!
