I know VAT a long time ago was 8 % and then changed to 12.5% but when were these changes

Ive been told VAT was 15% 20 years ago if that helps0

I remember 8% and then 15%.0

I know it changed from 15% to 17.5% in 1991 but I don't remember VAT at 8% - what an old bird you are baggy lol0

and I remember when they first introduced VAT, I was stationed at RAF Shawbury at the time!(God I now feel old!!!!!)0

quite a difference between just the eu countries and then worldwide...some eye opening info..:ohmy:
Iran and Jersey seem to be joint winners of the lowest rate of VAT at 3%!
@farmergiles, its alright your not old!!(hell its only numbers anyway) just wise and experienced with the view point of seeing all life go by with all its changes and differences!0
