Hello all I am just trying my hand at the June 2005 paper and section 2 has a lovely question on losses and a table to fill in with what to offset/when etc etc. I am finding this tricky to compute and am confused as to what to offset with what, is there a sure-fire way of doing it? ie is it better to get rid of any old losses before current losses, is it better to apply the total income rule or to keep trading losses to trading gains? In face, am I making sense at all?!! Any tips appreciated.
