Can we create a sticky thread please?

I've been using the MIP forum for a few years now and have lost count of the number of times someone asks 'I'm considering going self employed - what do I need to do and does anyone have any advice for me?'
There have been some excellent answers to this question and bundles of advice, but its spread over so many threads so it's hard for newbies to find. Often people ask the question and get few or no replies because I guess we're a bit bored of repeating the same things over and over.
Would it be possible to set it up at the top of the MIP forum - we can all add our hints and tips and it can be read by anyone thinking of taking the plunge?
