The nimble cancels out the cheese so it's not unhealthy at all!

Finally, figured out how to get the Java DB server to speak to me. Now, it's officially afternoon here in Geek Land.

Did you get the feeling of greatness when it worked? I felt the same way yesterday when I recorded a sweet ass macro even though the IT police took the functions off me visibly, I managed to get into the coding section and use excel to obtain the code and tweak it so it worked with word and the printer drivers :)... bring on July and my pay review cos that little piece of ingenuity has just saved around 12 hours in total, per week.

Negligible Jamie. I prepared a management report a fortnight ago that got three people the boot, saving about 120 hours per week.

Not that I'm too happy about that - losing a a job is very harsh - but hey, we're accounts and when you have to do these things for Directors you have to do them, don't you?

    Any liquidators currently online?

Unfortunately, I don't get paid any more for being able to do this stuff. It's more in preparation for when things go tits up work-wise, I figure the more strings to my bow the better.

And yeah, it's a sweet feeling when you get stuff to work, especially when it involves java which is makes things ridiculously complicated.

And Robert, I saw my name mentioned yesterday...."even Jan", why even, am I not allowed to miss J?

Going off to buy a gown for the ball - they must be giving them away by now! Have fun you lot
