Would like to know Is one allowed to take his/her Pro' Ethics Text Book with 'em when sitting the simulation as some practice questions from previous years I have say refer to your text book and answer?

Not usually. I think that might be classed as cheating. Some helpful hints that I found helped me were:
1) Make sure you know and define your six principles:
Professional behavour
Professional competency
Duty of care
Confidentiality
Integrity
Objectivity
You can remember these using the phrase "Posh People Drink Champagne In Offices".
2) Use your common sense. The questions are generally answerable simply by applying the principles above and a bit of common sense.
