Can you tell me how long it took you to qualify as a chartered accountant and what you have to do after to be able to carry on as a accountant??

Hi,
Not sure why you want to know how long it took me to qualify, but five years to do AAT and ACCA.
Depending on which body you qualify with as chartered depends on the amount of CPD you have to undertake. As an ACCA I have to do a minimum of 40 hours per year, 21 of which have to be verifiable and recorded. I usually end up doing a lot more than this because of my job. CPD is mandatory if you are a member of ACCA (and indeed if you are a member of ICAEW but not sure about their CPD requirements).

I am going to hoppefully be doing ACCA after getting my DFS results in feb:tongue_smilie: so just wanted an idea how longit would take sum1 to get to the top!
Do you think what you do is easy orhard?
