i have just sat my unit 7 assessment, can anyone help me with 2 questions i was unsure of.
1. can you claim tax back on purchases from outside the eu?
2. is the agency that is responsible for collecting and publishing statistics for the goverment the tax office?

    I've just sat the Simulation too.
    1. can you claim tax back on purchases from outside the eu?
    No, basically because when you purchase things from outside the EU upon arrival you have to pay all taxes and duties on them, and when you sell to countries outside the EU they are Zero rated.
    2. is the agency that is responsible for collecting and publishing statistics for the goverment the tax office?
    I think i wrote for this one: ONS - Office for National Statistics,
    Possibly could also be such things as Trade Journals.
