I am dong the NVQ route so that is slightly different but Diploma definitely has DFS and the 'dreaded' unit 10 project and MAC.0

Come on now Pamdill. The unit 10 project is all that bad.:001_smile:0

Oh and don't forget Auditing. Woohoo, how I loved auditing.0

Hi A-Vic,

Have doen the same units as you. The ones you'll have left are:
DFS
MAC
and you choose two out of:
Business Tax
Personal Tax
Auditing

Am I missing a subject?
Hi Just checking... I'm on the Diploma level having done:
Operating CMCC
FRA
ECR
Accounting Work Skills
Prof Ethics
Business Tax
Personal Tax
Still need to do
Project
DFS
MAC
Is that everything? Cos when I log onto my "Statement of Achievements" it says I've to complete 4 units in total to finish my Diploma off!!!
Uhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!0 -
i looked at my statement of achievement earlier and it said i had to do introduction to accounting which is certificate level but i started at advanced certificate level and have done everything i have been told which didnt include introduction to accounting (there was one unit from certificate that i had too do) m worried it will stop me completing qualification as first i heard that i was meant to have done 2 certificate level ones0

I've just looked at my statement of acheivement. I too started at Advanced level and mine says i need to do an introductory accounting exam!
I was never told anything about that - i'm going to ask my tutor what it's all about.
A-Vic - yup - same as you - DFS MAC and taxes!

I think you only need to do the introductory to accountancy exam if you want a certificate for that level.
I too started at advanced level, so did not do the introductory accountancy exam. It is also showing as outstanding on my statement of achievment.
I have now finished advanced certificate and diploma level, and have received certificates for both of those levels. I have already started CIMA, and they were quite happy with what I sent them, so think there is no need to worry about not taking the introductory exam.

I dont understand that because all you have to do is unit 31 fra covers unit 30 thats why a lot so stright on to advanced0 -
Just checked with my tutor and Dorset Student you are quite right. You only need to do that exam if you want a certificate for that level.
We don't need to have one but that's just how the system shows it. It does make it look like it's outstanding.
But no worries - we don't have to go backwards to do any more!
Phew!
