Hello All<BR><BR>I need to write the intermediate level report - improving a management information system, but am a bit stuck for ideas, any good ideas or starting points???<BR><BR>Thanks

    Intermediate MIS Report - HELP!!

    hey Jenny<BR><BR>All I did was look at the accounting system we have at work, and picked holes with it. Everyone has their gripes with what work provide for us to work with, so go with that.<BR><BR>Look at the system, are there any points that you dont like? Are there any bugs which need solving? Are there any problems you hit time after time? What would you like to see? Have you worked somewhere else that had a good system that you can compare the two?<BR><BR>I dont think that describing things is my forte, so I did a whole load of screen dumps (press the Print Screen button on your keyboard and paste into your word document) to pad it out, it also shows that you are a little more competent using your computer :D<BR><BR>Dont suppose this will have helped you at all, but that is what I did and my tutor said it was fine.<BR><BR>Best of luck<BR><BR>Mandy<BR>- x -

    Intermediate MIS Report - HELP!!

    I was also stuck on the MIS report when we were first set the assignement. We were issued with a leaflet which gave an outline of what to do:<BR><BR>1/ Start by writing about your work's current MIS<BR>2/ Outline any problems that you feel are present<BR>3/ Give suggestions of improvements that can be made<BR>4/ State the direct money costs to the company of any improvements, as well as any other costs (ie. staff time)<BR><BR>That is basically what I did (with a concluding paragraph on the end) and it has come back fine. The only thing I need to add to mine which I forgot to do was start the report with the usual format ie. To, From, Date, Subject etc..<BR>
