Hello Everybody,
I am new here so please bear with me in case I make a mistake.
I am really struggling with DFS and understanding accounting standards because there are just so many of them. I have seen Steve Collings IFRS summary advertised and just wondered if they are helpful for DFS as I need some serious help. I was made redundant earlier this year so can't afford tuition so am doing DFS by home study.
Thanks
Lynn

I have bought it because i am also struggling and our tutor is useless. It is a summary of all the standards with examples but it is not like a text book revision kit.
It is really good for revision. i find it helps explain things better than the text books. Steve knows his stuff and is good at explaining things anyway.

Thanks Barry I've just ordered and downloaded it. It looks ideal to be honest. I struggle using the text books because they are so longwinded so this looks ideal!
Thanks again Barry.

Hi Lynn,
I am a BPP tutor and subject specialist for FR and audit papers and I purchased the manuals purely to see if they could aid my classes or if I thought they would be of any assistance to my students.
I have to say that they are really, really good. Especially for the price ; you can't get text books for £13.50! The author, Steve is a really nice guy who is a well respected financial reporting writer also [even us tutors look out for his articles]. He has helped lots of my students on the various forums and via email and his summaries of IFRS would benefit your DFS studies, though Steve's manual does cover every standard, some of which are not assessable at AAT. It is worth having the unit 11 guidance notes to hand if you are using the summaries as a home studier.:thumbup1:
Well worth a buy for that price.

Hi,
Please let me know if there are any problems downloading the copy. I know a few overseas students have problems with the paypal screen as paypal is not used in some countries, but I have a way around this.
Many thanks
