I was amazed by the queues. People standing in like for hours to buy a what was mostly load of old tat that I wouldn't want even if they were giving it away.

Sheesh, I'd rather been seen in public wearing the women's knickers than a pair of M&S anniversary cufflinks and tie. I don't have occasion to wear business dress too often these days but when I do, I certainly wouldn't want to give the impression that I'm that cheap.

[Just in case you're not traumatised enough already] I remember a few years ago, me and my then partner went to a fancy dress party dragged up in each other's clothes (I did draw the line at the panties though) and I didn't actually look too bad as a girlie but I was thinner and didn't have a beard in those days.
